Among many of the Oxford community residents, Caren Harbison and son Tim came into the store a few weeks ago looking to buy rocks to paint. Caren began to tell us about the fatal accident of her brother Russell Kinniard. Russell was killed on July 25th 2017 in a motorcycle accident in Ben Wheeler Texas. Russell was wearing full protective gear including a reflective vest. Caren stated, "He did everything right. She just didn't see him". The driver who hit Russell did not see him coming. It was a complete accident.
Caren and son Tim decided to jump on board with the rock painting craze and use the rocks to bring awareness to motorcycle safety. Caren's moto is "Look twice save a life!" Caren and Tim are painting rocks and placing them all over town for anyone to pick up. If you are out and about and see an orange ribbon painted on a rock, its yours to keep! And remember, "LOOK TWICE, SAVE A LIFE!"
